PCCW’s streaming service Viu and iQiyi International, the international platform operated outside mainland China by Chinese streamer iQiyi, are launching a single bundled subscription for both services.

Launching in the second half of 2026 across Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Malaysia, the bundle offers access to both services under a single subscription.

Content offered by Viu includes Viu Originals, popular Korean and Chinese dramas, Southeast Asian productions and Viu Shorts microdramas. Iqiyi’s international platform offers premium originals, Chinese and Southeast Asian dramas, films, anime, variety shows and microdramas, all subtitled into multiple languages.

New content on Viu includes premium series The Season, which starts streaming on Hulu and Viu today; reality shows such as GBRB: Farm Operation: Go Go Farm; Chinese dramas including Zhan Zhao Adventures and Zong Ran; upcoming Viu Original Korean dramas Love In Sync and Dream To You; and microdramas including When Fish Swim To Land (Chinese) and I Became The Fake Heiress (Korean).

PCCW’s Makerville is also working on pan-Asian series Kidnap Game, a co-production with Japan’s Fuji TV and Korea’s SimStory, starring Lee Joon-gi, Kentaro Sakaguchi and Alice Ko, which is scheduled to stream on Viu in the fourth quarter of this year.

iQiyi International shows include Chinese dramas such as Pursuit Of Jade and Speed And Love; Thai drama Khemjira, Indonesian drama The Other Sister and Malay drama Griya, as well as the variety show Running Man Thailand

Janice Lee, CEO of Viu and Managing Director of PCCW Media Group, said: “Asian content is at the heart of what our audiences love, and our collaboration with iQiyi International puts that front and center. Bringing two rich content offerings into a single bundle gives viewers across Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Malaysia deeper access to the best storytelling from across the region.

“This reflects our belief that great Asian content should be more accessible and brings our viewers more of what they love in one convenient and user-friendly bundle.”

iQiyi President Yang Xianghua said: “Having deeply cultivated Southeast Asian markets for years, iQiyi International has established a strong presence through our premium Chinese and local content. Our upcoming bundle with Viu marks a pivotal milestone in our overseas business in Southeast Asia.

“By combining our highly complementary libraries into a unified subscription, we are offering local audience broader content choices. This partnership underscores our commitment to creating greater, long-term value for our users, our partners, and the Asian entertainment ecosystem.”

The news was announced at the APOS conference which is taking place in Bali, Indonesia, from June 16-18.
