Obsession star Inde Navarette used to stream video games on Twitch and the rediscovered videos are going viral.

Navarette is the breakout star of Obsession, a “monkey-paw” horror that sees her character Nikki become fixated on Michael Johnston’s Bear after his wish goes wrong. The movie has made over $287million (£213million) worldwide from a $750,000 (£558,800) budget with director Curry Barker already talking about turning his other YouTube shorts into feature films.

However fans have discovered that pre-Obsession, Navarette spent a lot of time playing games on Twitch, where she had 63k subscribers. The videos have been removed from her channel but earlier this month, a new YouTube channel under Navarette’s name re-uploaded some of the clips.

Two videos spanning ten hours in total see Navarette playing through the original The Last Of Us, while other videos see her enjoying the horror game Outlast. In nine days, the clips have been viewed more than 1.6million times. TikToks of her playing Call Of Duty while wearing a Toad hat have also blown up.

“It’s just something that I really love to do,” she said in a recent interview with GQ. “One of my first games growing up that me and my older brother Amani would play is Shrek in Big Head mode. Me and Amani would play Call Of Duty, then we got into Red Dead and Fallout.”

“I built my own PC during COVID and that was really fun to start to get into PC games. It really just took off with me loving watching YouTubers growing up, like Markiplier. So for me, it was like, oh, why not? If I’m not working on a show and I love playing video games by myself and I love playing with friends, then why not stream? It became a lot of fun.”

In other news, scream queen Samara Weaving has revealed she’s a huge fan of Red Dead RedemptionAssassin’s Creed and Mortal Kombat.
