From the viral fashion moments and ’90s-driven soundtrack to its heart-wrenching finale and fair share of backlash, Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, starring Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Anthony Kelly, stirred up no shortage of cultural commentary and social media buzz. And while the Ryan Murphy-Verse is ever expanding (and offers quite a bit to binge), Love Story fans may not be raring to move onto his next installment just yet — and rightfully so.

For those craving more Kennedy content, The Hollywood Reporter rounded up 10 additional movies and series to add to your watchlist. With works spanning 40-plus years — from NBC’s 1983 miniseries Kennedy (now streaming on Peacock) to ABC News’ 2026 special, John and Carolyn: Love, Beauty and Loss — this list contains a range of political dramas, star-studded TV shows, award-winning documentaries, multi-part docuseries and feature-length films.

Beyond film and TV, dozens of JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette books have been written, documenting the lives of the couple, both individually and as a pair. This includes Elizabeth Beller’s 2024 New York Times Best Seller, Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, the inspiration behind FX’s nine-parter.

The movies and series below depict and dramatize the lives of multiple members of the famous American family, namely JFK Jr., Bessette Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, President John F. Kennedy, Ted Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. Like Love Story, some of the works are based on books and biographies, all indicated below, and everything on this list can be streamed online, also indicated below.

Jackie, Pablo Larraín’s award-winning historical drama, examines the days following JFK Jr.’s assassination from the perspective of the First Lady. Natalie Portman plays the titular role of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, alongside Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, Billy Crudup and John Hurt. Premiering at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, JFK Revisited: Through the Looking Glass is a two-hour documentary film from controversial director Oliver Stone, based on James DiEugenio’s 1992 book, Destiny Betrayed: JFK, Cuba, and the Garrison Case.

Released to memorialize the 20th anniversary of their deaths, JFK Jr. and Carolyn’s Wedding: The Lost Tapes is a 1.5-hour documentary featuring never-before-seen footage of their big day filmed by Billy Noonan, one of Kennedy’s closest friends. Watch now via Prime Video and Apple TV.

The Kennedys is an eight-episode TV miniseries starring Greg Kinnear, Katie Holmes, Barry Pepper and Tom Wilkinson. Ahead of its 2011 release, The History Channel dropped the controversial production from its schedule, deeming it unfit for the network. Producer Joel Surnow later told The Hollywood Reporter that it was because of his conservative-leaning political views. The show went on to win four Emmy Awards, and is now available to watch via Prime Video and Apple TV.

The Kennedys: After Camelot serves as a follow-up to the eight-episode 2011 miniseries, The Kennedys. Katie Holmes stars once again as Jacqueline Kennedy, this time, alongside Matthew Perry, as Ted Kennedy, in his final TV role. The two-parter is based on J. Randy Taraborrelli’s 2012 book, After Camelot: A Personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present, and follows the family from RFK’s assassination through the ’90s. Watch now via Prime Video and Apple TV.

To mark the 60th anniversary of Kennedy’s assassination, National Geographic released JFK: One Day in America, a three-part miniseries taking viewers into November, 22 1963, almost in real-time. Watch now via Disney+/Hulu.

American Dynasties: The Kennedys is a six-episode documentary series spanning five decades, chronicling the lives of Joseph and Rose Kennedy and their children. It ultimately gets at how the Kennedy family was able to so deeply shape both national and global events throughout the 20th century. Watch now via HBO Max.
