Fox Corp. has closed its upfront sales process, with sports and streaming providing a boost to the effort.

A person familiar with negotiations with advertisers tells Deadline that free streaming platform Tubi posted double-digit volume growth. Fox Sports, the person added, posted record volume with pricing rising by mid-single to low-double-digits, and Fox News delivered record volume up double digits with pricing gains in the mid-single-digits.

Fox Entertainment saw volume equal with the prior year, while pricing rose by mid-single digits, the person added.

Major media companies operating traditional linear networks have been under pressure in recent years amid stiffening competition from large tech rivals as programming migrates to streaming. Fox earlier this week announced the $22 billion acquisition of Roku, a major swing motivated in part by a need for greater advertising scale in streaming. After emerging from the $71.3 billion Disney deal in 2019 as a small, linear-focused entity, Fox has outpaced Wall Street and industry expectations, executing M&A deals that gave them non-linear assets like Tubi and podcast outfit Red Seat Ventures. The company’s sports portfolio, which includes the NFL, Big Ten football, Major League Baseball and the World Cup, also remains a key driver.

“Fox delivered another strong Upfront performance, reflecting the value of our portfolio across Sports, News, Entertainment and Tubi,” said Jeff Collins, president of advertising sales, marketing and brand partnerships for Fox Corp., in a statement provided to Deadline. “Advertisers continue to recognize Fox’s unique ability to connect brands with highly engaged audiences. We thank them, and our agency partners, for their continued trust and are grateful to our sales team for their dedication and commitment. Together, we will continue to turn audience passion into meaningful performance for brands in the year ahead.”
