Madonna has heavily hinted that she could finally perform at Glastonbury in 2027.
The pop legend is gearing up to release her 15th studio record on July 3 – the spiritual follow-up to 2005’s ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’, and on Friday (June 26), she made an appearance on The Graham Norton Show to discuss the album.
Touching on her plans for touring in support of it, Madonna seemed to suggest 2027 could finally be the year she headlines the Worthy Farm festival. She was widely rumoured to be performing on the Pyramid Stage back in 2024, but negotiations reportedly fell apart.
Last night, however, Glastonbury appeared to be back on the table. “I think I’ll do promo tours for a while, then in the summertime, something bigger,” she told Norton.
“Oh, that sounds really exciting and good,” Norton replied. “I think I know what you’re talking about.” After sharing a knowing look, he pressed: “Is it in this country?”
“It could be,” she replied. “Why do I have to tell you everything?”

The teaser comes after she spent time with Charli XCX – last year’s Other Stage headliner – in Paris recently.
Their time together followed a stir after Charli’s recent single ‘Rock Music’, taken from her upcoming album ‘Music, Fashion, Film’, declared: “I think the dancefloor is dead, so now we’re making rock music”.
Madonna, who spoke to Norton about the spiritual necessity of being on the dancefloor – saying dancing was in “in my DNA” and “creates community” – appeared to respond to the line on Instagram, writing: “If your Dance floor feels dead, maybe you’re playing the wrong music.”
However, the pair were spotted together at Fashion Week, bringing an end to speculation of tension between the two pop stars, with Charli later saying it was “very inspiring to hang out with her”.
She also admitted that while she was not necessarily a Madonna fan when she was younger, she came to appreciate her work more deeply as she grew older.
“I think when I became like a bit more interested in how music is art and artful – I think that’s when I began my Madonna time,” she said. “My first big song that I fell in love with of hers was ‘Hollywood’. That song really hit me in a way.”

Madonna’s upcoming ‘Confessions II’ is Madonna’s first record since 2019’s ‘Madame X’, and it sees her reunite with ‘Confessions’ producer Stuart Price.
To celebrate its release, Madonna has surprised fans in New York City by playing an impromptu set at Times Square, and also shared a star-studded short film accompaniment to the record starring Sabrina Carpenter, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Moss, Julia Garner, Shygirl, Richard E. Grant, Honey Dijon and more.
The ‘Vogue’ singer has also been confirmed as one of the co-headliners for the first-ever FIFA World Cup halftime show alongside Shakira and BTS, and has implored fans to “put your fucking phones down and connect” when at gigs.
Kylie Minogue has responded to rumours of a guest appearance on the record too, and Linda Perry has expressed her desire to produce for Madge – describing her latest music as “weak” and “trying to compete with Charli XCX“.
Madonna will be holding an intimate London listening party for ‘Confessions II’ at the start of July, and will also be starring in an episode of The Studio, with the episode being centred around her long-delayed biopic – which she recently revealed was scrapped due to budget issues.
Looking ahead to Glastonbury 2027, bookmakers are already taking bets on who could headline. Rumours include Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Rihanna and Little Simz.
