There's little doubt at this point that Fallout on Prime Video did a spectacular job of translating the beloved game series to the small screen. It brought a whole raft of new fans on board, but arguably more importantly than that, it gave longtime fans plenty of recognizable elements to cheer for or root against.

The second season of the show ended earlier this year, and the whole thing did a great job of bringing the story forward, as well as rounding out the characters we were introduced to in Fallout's first run. One of those characters in particular is about to be at the center of a new physical release, and it could easily become the most premium item in your collection.

Over on the official website for Prime 1 Studio, the company confirmed they are making pre-orders available for Maximus in Power Armor, a 67cm polystone statue that really is as detailed as any merchandise we've ever seen.

In describing the product for fans as part of the initial announcement, the company shared some insight into what to expect from the release:

"A young soldier who clings to the ideals of the Brotherhood of Steel in an attempt to erase a dark past. One of the story's morally complex protagonists is brought to life wearing the power armor he first donned. The imposing form and pose of the T-60 model, its LED-illuminated headlight, and the symbolic three claw marks are meticulously crafted based on an analysis of the on-screen props. Every detail is faithfully captured at a 1/4 scale.

"A bleached Deathclaw skull. Scuttling Radroaches. A milk vending machine that stirs memories of childhood. The specially designed base evokes the wasteland as seen through Maximus's eyes. Each element is crafted to quietly tell its part of the story."

The model comes with additional accessories so you can transform the overall appearance, including an additional right arm holding a T-60 pistol. The statue also comes in two versions, with the Deluxe Bonus edition also including a swappable helmet off version of the character, for those who want him to be more recognizable.

Every statue is handmade and in high-quality material, so as you might expect, it really doesn't come cheap. The Standard version is set to retail for $1,399.00, while the Deluxe Bonus will run you up a further couple of hundred, at $1,599.00.

In other happy news, production on the third season of Fallout has begun in Los Angeles, with Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten returning to the cast. There have also been some notable new additions in Manny Jacinto, Emily Mortimer, and Thomasin McKenzie, giving the show every chance of carrying on its run of good form next year.

Based on the hit video game series and set 200 years after an apocalypse, Fallout follows residents of luxury shelters as they re-enter a post-nuclear world. Confronted with a bizarre and violent landscape, the series explores the stark contrasts between their sheltered existence and the harsh realities of the outside universe.
