It’s unclear how much the game will stick to the original material or the TV adaptation – so there is a chance that the three characters won’t necessarily appear in the same scene at the same time.
Nevertheless, Rick, Michonne, and Daryl are all confirmed as part of the upcoming video game. This will be a great way to revisit not only one of the best arcs in the series, but also these characters at what is considered by many to be their prime. This new The Walking Dead game will allow players to take control of all three members of the iconic trio as they face both walkers and the living, making an effort to take down Negan and his forces.
The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival will offer players classic beat-’em-up gameplay, even if modernized to current standards. The studio behind the upcoming title also developed The Karate Kid: Street Rumble, which was released in 2024. At the moment, the future of the series is at an impasse, as the rights to The Walking Dead are up for sale, though it hasn’t landed a buyer just yet.
Even though it’s unclear where the franchise will go from a TV standpoint, fans will still be able to explore the universe with spin-off releases, such as Streets of Survival. The three aforementioned characters are some of the most endearing ones in The Walking Dead, and being able to see them all again in a reunion, even if they don’t share the screen, will be delightful for anyone who enjoys the series.
