A first look at the upcoming Sense & Sensibility remake has been unveiled ahead of its October theatrical release.
Jane Austen's 1811 novel Sense & Sensibility has been adapted for the screen multiple times over the years, most notably the 1995 film with Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman. Over 30 years later, director Georgia Oakley is introducing a brand-new iteration of the classic story with Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Per Vogue, the first look at Sense & Sensibility reveals Edgar-Jones taking center stage in the new Jane Austen adaptation as Elinor Dashwood.
Other photos show Elinor and Esmé Creed-Miles' Marianne Dashwood having a serious conversation on a bed; Elinor, Marianne, Bodhi Rae Breathnach's Margaret Dashwood and Caitríona Balfe's Mrs. Dashwood together in a sitting room; Marianne standing in the middle of a field; Elinor and Marianne looking out a window; and Elinor and George MacKay's Edward Ferrars looking longingly into each other's eyes.
