Next year will welcome the 10th Generation of Pokémon games, and with that comes the launch of Pokémon Winds and Waves. Set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2, the brand-new installments will take players across a tropical archipelago, allowing access to a variety of different islands and underwater areas.

Announced back in February as part of Pokémon's 30th anniversary celebrations, we may know that Pokémon Winds and Waves is set to launch some time in 2027, but other than that, details remain scarce on what fans can expect from the start of Gen 10. What we do know, however, is our Starter 'mon. This includes Browt, the Grass-type; Pombon, the Fire-type; and Gecqua, the Water-type.

Other than that, details remain scarce and only come courtesy of insider information and rumors. That includes news of a potential Eeveelution, as some fans believe that Pokémon Winds and Waves will pave the way for a brand-new string on Eevee's bow.

After all, we have waited long enough, as Eevee last received a Mega Evolution way back in 2013 with the launch of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. It was here that they welcomed their Fairy-type, Sylveon, and since then, we have been waiting to see what other transformations are in store for the fan-favorite Pokémon.

As of right now, Eevee has eight official Eeveelutions: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon, but could Pokémon Winds and Waves welcome a ninth?

Well, according to a recent post over on r/pokemon, Eevee could receive a dragon-type Eeveelution in Gen 10. Well, at least if they had it their way. That is because said user has designed some concept art of what a dragon-type Eevee could look like, and with Pokémon Winds and Waves expected to welcome multiple flying Pokémon, this design would fit in seamlessly.

The results are adorable to say the least, with both a pink and red version. Not only that, but they took to fellow fans to come up with a name for this dragon-type Eeveelution, and they were happy to oblige.

"Looks like a Wyrmeon or a Drageon to me," the top comment read, earning itself almost 40 upvotes. However, another user had a way of bringing puns into play. "I mean, Longeon could actually work as a bilingual pun," they shared. "This is styled after a Chinese dragon, and in one way to write the character "龍" (which means dragon) in the Latin script, it would be "Lóng". So, Longeon."

Nonetheless, fans were quick to praise the fan-made concept art, with one user sharing, "This is the best dragon Eeveelution I’ve seen thus far, it doesn’t just slap scales and reptilian features on a fox and call it a day."

Of course, this is by no means an official design, and at the time of writing, a ninth Eeveelution has not been announced nor confirmed by The Pokémon Company. However, if there was one way to bring fans to Pokémon Winds and Waves, a brand-new Eevee would most certainly be it.
