Kid Rock shared a video of a pair of Apache helicopters flying by his Nashville home this weekend. Now the Army has opened an inquiry into the matter.

On Saturday afternoon, outspoken conservative and Donald Trump pal Kid Rock shared a pair of videos on social media showing two Apache helicopters flying by his Nashville residence. Now, Pentagon officials confirmed that the Army has opened an inquiry into the matter.

In the first video, the “Bawitdaba” singer can be seen waving and saluting a helicopter hovering near the swimming pool at his 27,000-square-foot mansion, which he calls “The Southern White House.” The second video shows another helicopter flying above the first while Rock continues to wave.

“This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know,” Rock wrote in his post, taking a jab at California Governor Gavin Newsom. “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

Major Jonathan Bless, a representative for the 101st Airborne Division, which is located in Fort Campbell, KY, near Kid Rock’s Nashville mansion, told the New York Times that the Army was looking into the strange event.

According to Major Bless, the Army’s administrative review would “assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements.” Major Bless also stressed that the inquiry is not an official investigation.

Notably, the NYT reported that the helicopters that visited the musician appeared to be the same ones that flew over a Nashville “No Kings” protest, which also took place on Saturday. Major Bless said that the military helicopters were in the area for training, and their appearance flying over the protest event was “entirely coincidental.”

Kid Rock recently headlined the “All-American Halftime Show,” which was held simultaneously and in protest to Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX performance.
