28 Days Later is arguably one of the most important zombie movies every made, a genre-defining classic that gave us an early preview of Cillian Murphy’s star power and asked that most essential of questions: What if the undead… were fast? Now, following a long period where the rights to the film were in limbo, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing a new 4K Ultra HD SteelBook release of the film, set to be released this September.
The limited edition release will include a fully remastered version of the movie, with Danny Boyle-approved Dolby Vision picture and Dolby Atmos sound. The set also includes special features including an audio commentary by Boyle and writer Alex Garland, deleted scenes and alternate endings (with optional commentary), featurettes and music videos, and animated storyboards.
