Did You Know?

Your brain loves stories in short bursts.

Research shows people remember information better when it is visual, emotional, and concise. So if this video taught you one useful thing in under 3 minutes, it already did its job.

This is the story of how I learned to achieve more by doing less. As an engineering student in grad school, making this video is important to me because I wanted to share the book that completely changed my perspective on productivity. After learning the ideas in Cal Newport’s book Slow Productivity, along with the compound effect and the three pillars of life, I was transformed from someone making meaningless progress on things I didn’t care about into a straight-A student who actually enjoys life, while doing less work. I hope you all enjoyed the video! Please let me know what video essay you want to see next in the comments down below. The entire video was shot on the iPhone 17 Pro. If you want to help support the channel, all donations will go directly back into making the videos as great as possible (hopefully I can buy a Sony FX3 one day): buymeacoffee.com/lucasacchetto #slowproductivity #schoolproductivity #productivityhacks
